Micaela Castillo came in after her placing 54th (25:49.99), Sydney Rose at 57th (26:11.93) and Brittany Lokar at 70th (27:17.38). According to head coach Mike Atwood, Lokar and Rose earned new personal records.
The Leopards suffered a narrow loss to Cal Lutheran, falling by only eight points (32-24). “Cal Lutheran beat us by a wide margin two weeks ago, so for us to come back and be so close was very encouraging for the women,” Atwood said.
The team is currently seventh among the SCIAC teams, heading into the SCIAC Championships which will be held. Oct. 31 at the Prado Park in Chino.
