Leopard Women Make Season Debut At CSUF Invite

The women's cross country team made its way to the Cal State Fullerton Invitational Sept. 5 hosted at the Fullerton Muni Golf Course for its 2009 season debut. More than 20 colleges participated in the race including Whittier College, Cal State Long Beach, Cal Poly Pomona and USC.

Four La Verne runners finished the 6k event with Sydney Rose completing with the best time of 28:09.60, ranking her at 188. Brigitte Blazys also placed 189 with a time of 28:11.40. Five other women tied with Rose and Blazys in overall placing.

The next meet will be the Westmont Invitational on Saturday, September 19.
