Leos Take Part In SCIAC Multi-Dual
The University of La Verne women’s cross country group competed at the SCIAC Cross Country Multi Dual held in Prado Park in Chino Saturday.
ULV finished eighth on the day, while Occidental placed first with a record of 7-0. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps runner Evelyn Rose earned first place in 23:46.57. For ULV, sophomore Amanda Seibert led ULV in the 6,000-meter race, finishing in 27th place with a time of 26:26.71 among 78 runners.
Sophomore Jacqueline Steele was 36th in 27:06.89, Mallorie Munoz placed 38th at 27:15.60 and junior Amanda Santos ran in 68th at 30:45.79.
Redlands finished in second, going 6-1. CMS followed at 5-2, Pomona-Pitzer was 4-3, Cal Lutheran went 3-4, Whittier ended at 2-5 and Caltech 1-6.
The Leopards next run at the SCIAC Championships on Oct. 27 in La Mirada at 9 a.m.
