ULV Defeated By Top-Ranked Regals
The University of La Verne women’s water polo squad saw its three-match winning streak end as No. 1-ranked California Lutheran University topped the visitors 11-7 in SCIAC action Wednesday evening in Thousand Oaks.
With the conference opening loss, the Leopards dropped to 6-8 overall and 0-1 in SCIAC play. The Regals moved to 9-11 and 2-0, respectively.

Senior Jen Aguilar hammered a hat trick for the match, which was a game-high. Additionally, sophomore Mahina Reyes and senior Laura Larsen collected two scores each.
After taking a 4-2 edge after one quarter, the Regals took a commanding 8-2 lead by halftime. However, the Leopards would respond with five goals in the second half, though falling short as the hosts notched three more en route to stay undefeated in league.
