La Verne Hosts ITA Summer Circuit

The University of La Verne is one of four host sites for the Southern California Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Summer Circuit, which will be held at the Upland Tennis Club (125 W. 15th Street, Upland) and The Claremont Club (1777 Monte Vista Ave., Claremont) from July 13-15.

The ITA Summer Circuit consists of eight regions (East, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Central, Mountain, Texas and West), which each holding four consecutive weekend tournaments, leading up to the USTA/ITA National Summer Championships in Bloomington, Indiana in August.

The entry fee for the Summer Circuit tournament at La Verne is $60 (includes singles and doubles).  Deadline to enter is 11:59 pm on July 8.  Any player who competes in at least three tournaments and is the point leader in their respective region will automatically qualify for the national championships.

La Verne serves as the host of the second stop on the Southern California ITA Summer Circuit with Laguna Niguel (July 5-7) hosting the first stop.  Azusa Pacific (July 20-22) and Cal State Los Angeles (July 27-29) will be the home for the final two summer tournaments.
