2009 marks the 18th season for Wendy Zwissler as head coach of the ULV women's soccer program. Zwissler has been responsible for turning La Verne into a consistent winner during her tenure as head coach. The Leopards have enjoyed winning seasons in seven of the past 11 seasons. In addition, La Verne has routinely placed near the top of the standings in the perennially strong SCIAC conference.

Last season saw the Leopards take fourth place in the SCIAC standings, earning a spot in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament.

Zwissler also is an assistant professor in ULV's Movement and Sports Science Department. She resides in Claremont with her husband Jim.  All three of Zwissler's daughters played soccer at ULV, which includes twin sisters Jacqui and Jennifer (class of '97) along with youngest daughter Katie (class of '00). Jacqui Zwissler was a two-time All-West Region performer and the 1996 SCIAC Player of the Year.
