The University of La Verne women's soccer team traveled to Orange for a non-conference game against the Chapman University Panthers. Despite their best efforts, the Leopards fell in a 3-0 finish.
The Panthers outshot the Leopards 19-5 in the contest. La Verne trailed 1-0 heading into halftime with a goal scored by Panthers' Emma Castleton off an assist by Kate Lilly.
The Leopards were able to hold off Chapman until the 68th minute when Olivia Do was able to get the ball in the back of the net, assisted by Rebeccah Bortz. The Panthers were able to score one more time resulting in a 3-0 victory for Chapman.
Leopard goalie Delanie Pacheco had six saves in the match, giving her 95 for the season.
The Leos are now 2-12-3 overall and 1-10 in SCIAC, while the Panthers improve to 7-8-3 overall.
La Verne will be back on the road on Saturday for their final game of the season against the Redlands Bulldogs. The game begins at 7:00 pm in Redlands.
