La Verne Struggles In Thousand Oaks

The La Verne women's soccer team traveled to Thousand Oaks to take on the Regals from Cal Lutheran University looking to gain its second conference win, but fell short in a 4-0 loss.

The Leopards outshot the Regals 20-10, but Cal Lutheran relied on accuracy, scoring three times in seven first half shots. Brittany Clark put in two goals off of assists from Mayra Virgen and Aubrie Smith. Smith would collect a goal of her own, to give the Regals a three goal lead. Cal Lutheran would tack on another goal in the second half to cap off a 4-0 victory.

La Verne will try to bounce back with a home match against the University of Redlands next Wednesday afternoon. The game begins at 4:00pm.
