Ryan Turcott is in his first season with the University of La Verne men’s basketball program, serving as the team’s graduate assistant. Turcott enjoyed a successful playing career at Pacific University in Oregon, where he was a three-year starter. As as a sophomore (2005-06) he led the Northwest Conference in free throw percentage, and led the Boxers in both steals and assists during the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons.

Turcott broke into the coaching ranks a year ago (2008-09), serving as an assistant at Archbishop Murphy High School under his older brother Greg in Mill Creek, Washington.

A three-sport athlete at Helena Capital High School in Montana, Turcott was an all-state selection in football and was a captain and two-year starter on the basketball team.

Ryan’s father Gary Turcott coached 19 seasons at Carroll College in Helena, Montana, before retiring in 2009. The elder Turcott was a five-time conference coach of the year while collecting seven conference championships while at Carroll.
