Women's Basketball All-Decade Team

The 2000s represented the most successful era in La Verne women's basketball, and that span is best reflected by a star-studded group that makes up the All-Decade Team.

The team includes Trenecca Jones (2005-2009), Sydni Myrick (2000-2004), Marissa Raya (2004-08), Stefanie Foster (2004-06), Lindsey Shiomi (2005-2008), Emily Carrillo (2006-present) and Tenisha Buckley (2001-03).

Myrick led the Leopards to a SCIAC title in 2003 en route to earning SCIAC Player of the Year accolades that season.  The 6-foot-2 Myrick was a dominating force in the post, totaling 1,199 career points - an average of 15.7 points per game - while also collecting 582 rebounds.  She also recorded 129 career blocks. Myrick also earned All-Conference honors in 2002 and in 2004.

Jones helped lead La Verne to a SCIAC crown in 2007 while helping propel the Leos to the first-ever SCIAC Tournament title in 2008.  In her four seasons, Jones tallied 1,313 points and enjoyed a .502 field goal percentage during her career.  In her SCIAC Player of the Year season in 2006-07, she led the conference in scoring (17.3), rebounding (10.8) and field goal percentage (.519).

Raya also eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone, amassing 1,282 points in her four seasons.  A two-time First Team All-SCIAC selection (2007, 2008), Raya tallied 128 three-point field goals and set school records in steals (170).  She was a member of La Verne's 2007 SCIAC Championship team and 2008 SCIAC Tournament Championship squad.

Foster was a two-year member of the Leopard squad after transferring from Citrus College in 2004.  She was selected First Team All-SCIAC in each of her two seasons with the Leopards in 2004-05 and 2005-06.  Playing both the guard and forward positions, she averaged 15 points per game in SCIAC contests and made 79.2% of her free throws.  Additionally she connected on 73 three-point field goals in her two seasons.

A three-year starter at point guard, Shiomi dished out a school record 315 assists in her career and was a member of the Leos' 2007 league championship squad and 2008 SCIAC Tournament Championship team.  A two-time Second Team All-SCIAC selection, Shiomi connected on 131 three-point field goals in her three seasons.  She set a Leopard single-game school record of eight three-pointers in a game against Pomona-Pitzer in February 2007.

Carillo was also a member of La Verne's SCIAC Championship teams in 2007 and 2008 and was a three-year starter in each of her three seasons.  She totaled 794 points and 436 rebounds through her junior season.  As a sophomore she led the conference in field goal percentage, converting on 60.1% of her shots in 2007-08.  Carrillo earned First Team All-SCIAC honors in 2009, averaging 13.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game as a junior.

A two-year starter in 2001-02 and 2002-03, Buckley was the unsung hero on the Leopards' 2003 conference championship team.  The forward led the conference in rebounding that season, averaging 11.7 boards per contest en route to earning First Team All-SCIAC accolades.  In her 46 career games, she made 54.5% of her field goal attempts while averaging 11.2 points per game
