Eric Riehle



Head Golf Coach

Head Golf Coach Eric Riehle begins his second season with the University of La Verne golf program, serving previously as Associate Head Coach in the 2008-2009 Season. Last year Riehle helped lead the Leopards to their third consecutive SCIAC Conference Championship, and a Runner-Up finish at the 2009 NCAA National Championship. Also in the 2008-2009 campaign, Riehle coached three Leopard golfers to 1st Team All-American Honors; one of which, Mitchell Fedorka earned the Jack Nicklaus Award as National Player of the Year.

Beginning his coaching career in 2005, Riehl served as Assistant Coach for the UC Riverside Men's and Women's Golf team for two years. While at UC Riverside, Riehle's main duties consisted of assisting with golf instruction, team travel, and organization of the strength and conditioning program. Also from 2005-2009, Riehle assumed the position of Assistant Director of Golf Instruction at Oak Valley Golf Academy. During his stint at the facility, he worked with 13 American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Top-100 ranked players as well as several aspiring professional golfers. Professionally Coach Riehle is also an active member of the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Golf Fitness Instructor, and is working towards his PGA Class-A Membership.

Riehle graduated in 2004 with a degree from UC Riverside in Liberal Studies, and a minor in Education. While at UC Riverside, Riehle was a four year letterman in golf, three-time All-Big West Selection, and lead his team to two Big West Conference Championships. Also during a brief professional playing career, Riehle secured several victories and has two course records at Oak Valley Golf Club (61) and East Valley Golf Club (63).

Along with his coaching position at La Verne, Riehle is a Golf Teaching Professional at East Valley Golf Club. He lives in Beaumont with his wife, Lindsay.
