Scott Winterburn is in his eighth season as ULV head coach and has elevated the ULV baseball program back to its winning tradition. His Leopard squad recently captured the 2008 SCIAC Championship to give La Verne 19 league crowns in school history.  Under the guidance of Winterburn, the Leopards earned back-to-back SCIAC Conference titles in 2004 and 2005, finishing with a Top 20 national ranking and earning consecutive appearances to the NCAA West Regionals. 

Winterburn has taken the winning tradition of La Verne baseball and has continued with three SCIAC crowns in eight seasons.  Additionally, he has coached three SCIAC Players of the Year along with two All-Americans in pitcher Scott Lindeen (2005) and Scott Marcus (2008).

Coach Winterburn's goal is to promote an environment that is rich in talent, quality individuals and work ethic. Coach Winterburn believes in enjoying the "journey", the work and respect that is bred through believing in what the group is trying to accomplish. An 18-year veteran as a college coach, Coach Winterburn has and will continue to provide the Leopards with experience and direction. The 2008 edition of the Univeristy of La Verne baseball program looks to be an exciting one.

Winterburn also serves as Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance in the La Verne Athletic Department.
