La Verne softball standout Ashley Paul is in her first year as a member of the Leopard coaching staff in 2012. 

A four-year starter, Paul helped lead La Verne to three NCAA appearances and was a four-time All-Conference selection in addition to being a three-time All-West Region honoree.  She owned a career batting average of .365 and has been among the conference leaders in runs scored in each of her four seasons.

A dual sport athlete during her playing days, Paul also earned All-SCIAC recognition in basketball, totaling more than 1,000 points in her career on the hardwood.

She was honored as the University of La Verne's 2011 Jesse Iles Scafani Female Athlete of the Year.
