Rojo, Kendricks named First Team All-SCIAC

LA VERNE, CA — Jiana Rojo and Sienna Kendricks have been named First Team All-SCIAC the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

Rojo earns First Team All-SCIAC honors in back-to-back seasons. Last year's SCIAC Newcomer of the Year continued to demonstrate her talents during her sophomore season. The Newark, CA native led the SCIAC with 19 complete games and ranked second in the conference with 91 strikeouts. Rojo also finished fourth in the conference with 10 wins, a 3.31 ERA, and 4.25 strikeouts per seven innings.

Kendricks earns All-SCIAC action or the third time in her career and first team recognition for the second time. In conference action, the senior ranked fifth with a .455 batting average and sixth with a .600 on-base percentage and a .701 slugging percentage. Overall, Kendricks ranked fourth in the SCIAC with 12 doubles and second on the Leopards' squad with 44 hits. Kendricks played an outstanding game in her final appearance in the orange and green, tallying four RBI with a home run and double.
