Leopards Make Season Debut At Pomona-Pitzer
After several rainouts, the University of La Verne softball team is ready to make its season debut this weekend as it takes on Pomona-Pitzer in a SCIAC doubleheader on Saturday in Claremont.
The Leopards will play Sunday as it hosts Pacific Lutheran in a doubleheader in Claremont.
Ongoing field renovations at Wheeler Park have forced the Leopards to move this weekend's games over to Pomona-Pitzer's home field.
The Leopards, which had their Alumni Game cancelled due to rain last weekend, had their originally scheduled season opener at Chapman postponed earlier this week due to wet weather. The two teams will make up the games on March 5 in Orange.
