Leopards Finish Fourth At Titan Invitational

Selected members of the University of La Verne men's cross country team tuned up for next week's SCIAC Championships by taking part in the Titan Invitational at Cal State Fullerton Friday evening. 

Though a few members of the Leopard contingent sat out the race, the depth of the squad was evident by its fourth place team finish with a total of 123, placing behind Cal State San Marcos (18), Vanguard (58) and Loyola Marymount (68).

La Verne finished with a total team time of 2:15:01.90 for an average of 27:00.38.

Eric Espinoza (26:28.6) and Damien Rodriguez (26:41.5) paced the Leopards with respective finishes of 56th and 66th overall.  Ted Breslow and Brad Blackshire also had strong outings, with Breslow placing 81st in 27:04.01 while Blackshire finished 85th in 27:05.12.

The Leos will next compete at the SCIAC Championship meet held Saturday at Prado Park in Chino.
