Leopards Set To Compete At SCIAC Track & Field Championships

The University of La Verne men's and women's track and field teams take part in the 94th annual SCIAC Track and Field Championships held Saturday and Monday at Occidental College in Eagle Rock.

Saturday's competition marks the preliminaries in most running events with finals in selected field events.  Monday will consist of finals in all events.

The Leopard men placed third in the SCIAC Multi-Dual and look to continue its run through this weekend's action.  La Verne looks to receive strong contributions from sprinter Adam Kazub, Travis Foster and Seve Villareal along with hurdler Michael Anderson.  In addition, the Leopard throw contingent is solid with the likes of Jordan Murphy, Nick McGrail and Roger Toledo.

On the women's side, Leopard senior Antoinette Borders stands to factor in the shot put, discus and hammer events while freshman Clarissa Holz could make an impact in both the 400 meter hurdles and triple jump.
