Men's Soccer Releases 2012 Schedule
The University of La Verne men's soccer schedule for the 2012 season has been released. The schedule includes a total of 10 home games to be held at the refurbished Ortmayer Stadium.
La Verne opens 2012 in upstate New York as it plays a pair of games at the Lotto Classic Tournament against host Clarkson (Aug. 31) and St. Lawrence (Sept. 1).
The Leopards return home the host Pacific on September 4 in their first athletic contest at the newly-renovated Ortmayer Stadium. The contest also marks the first of five straight home games for the Leos.
Included in the five-game homestand is the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener against Whittier on September 10. La Verne's first road SCIAC game occurs September 19 at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Three nights later, the Leopards face SCIAC newcomer Chapman in the first conference clash between the two schools.
The Leos play their final three regular season games on the road against Redlands (Oct. 20), Occidental (Sept. 24) and Pomona-Pitzer (Sept. 27) to conclude the 16-game league schedule.
The SCIAC Postseason Tournament will be held October 31-November 2.
