Lucas Named Second Team All-SCIAC
Senior Wesley Lucas was named to Second Team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) for the 2011 season in a vote among conference coaches.
The selection marks the second All-Conference honor for Lucas during his career. Playing the forward position in 2007, he earned Second Team All-Conference as a freshman. This year he was the lone representative from the University of La Verne on the All-SCIAC team.
A product of La Salle High School in Pasadena, Lucas anchored the Leopard defense during the 2011 campaign and was the only La Verne player this season to start in all 16 games.
La Verne concluded the 2011 season with a 6-9-1 overall record along with a 5-8-1 mark in SCIAC competition to finish fifth in the conference.
