Zachman, Twamley Earn All-America Honors
Two members of the University of La Verne earned Division III PING All-America honors as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Thursday.
Junior Derek Zachman was a First Team All-America selection and freshman Trent Twamley garnered Third Team All-America accolades.
The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Zachman finished in a tie for seventh at the recent NCAA Division III Championships. Twamley concluded his freshman campaign tying for 22nd overall among individuals at the NCAAs.
Led by Zachman and Twamley, the SCIAC Champion Leopards placed 14th overall at the NCAA Championships.
The selections of Zachman and Twamley marks the 12th consecutive year in which La Verne has been represented on the All-America team.
