The University of La Verne golf team earned its fifth straight conference title by claiming first place at SCIAC 36 Hole Championship at Diamond Valley Golf Club Monday in Hemet.  

Led by the trio of Eric Bunge, Andrew Roque and Josh Haynes, the  Leopards shot 571 (285-286) over the two 18 hole rounds to secure the top spot en route to their fifth straight overall conference crown. 

CMS, behind the play of junior standout Tain Lee, finished with a 36-hole total of 580 (290-290) to place second while Redlands (603) finished third. 

Lee finished first overall on the individual leaderboard.

By virtue of its overall conference championship, La Verne earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships May 11-13 in Greensboro, N.C.
