Leopards Take Part In Bravehart Classic
Playing against Division I competition, the University of La Verne golf team placed 14th overall in the two-day Bravehart Classic Tournament held March 2-3 on the Par 72 Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont hosted by UC Riverside.
The Leopards were the only non-Division I school in the 18-team field, finishing with a combined 920 (306-310-304) in the three rounds.
The University of Oregon took first place overall with a total of 875 followed by Southern Utah which finished seven strokes off at 882. The Leopards placed ahead of host UC Riverside, which finished 16th overall at 928.
Andrew Kramer enjoyed the top Leopard performance with a combined 223 (76-74-73) to place 22nd in the overall individual standings. Rizal Amin tied for 57th (231) while teammate Mitchell Fedorka (232) tied for 60th overall. Other La Verne competitors included Kevin Smith (237) and Eric Bunge (244).
La Verne will next be in action at the SCIAC #2 on Monday, March 3 at Goose Creek Golf Club in Mira Loma.
