Leopards Climb To #8 In National Poll

The University of La Verne golf team moved up six spots to #8 in the latest Golf World Division III Top 25 Poll released Wednesday.

ULV also picked up one first-place vote in the poll, with Methodist College (N.C.) holding the top spot with 13 of 14 first-place votes. Redlands is the second SCIAC representative in the Top 25, moving to #18.

La Verne captured its third consecutive SCIAC tournament of the season last week in winning the SCIAC #3 at Sierra La Verne.

The Leopards have won three tournaments this spring and has finished no worse than third in three others. ULV next takes part in the West Region Invitational next week at Berry Creek, Texas.
