Leopards Host Whittier On Homecoming Saturday
The University of La Verne seeks its first win of the year as it takes on Whittier College Saturday during ULV’s Homecoming celebration. La Verne returns to Ortmayer Stadium after two consecutive road games.
Nearly a year ago, the Leopards defeated the Poets by a 27-14 margin in Whittier on Oct. 21, 2006.
Both teams are coming off defeats from a week ago. Whittier (2-3, 1-1 SCIAC) dropped a 38-20 non-conference decision to Chapman while the Leopards fell 45-7 to three-time defending SCIAC champ Occidental.
Kickoff for Saturday's contest is 1 pm.
