Crescencio Gonzalez, a former player at Azusa Pacific University and a longtime assistant for the University of La Verne soccer program, is in his seventh season as head coach. Gonzalez worked as an assistant for the men's team for seven seasons before taking over as head coach prior to the 2002 campaign.

Gonzalez has elevated the Leopard program to respectability during his tenure.  In 2005, he guided La Verne to a second-place finish, and in 2007 he led ULV to a fourth-place finish and a spot in the inaugural SCIAC Conference Tournament.

Before taking over as head coach, he served as an assistant for the men's and women's team for three seasons. During his playing days, Gonzalez was a defender for APU during the 1984 and '85 seasons. Gonzalez also serves as ULV's assistant athletic director for facilities.
