Trio Of Leopards Earn All-SCIAC Honors

Three members of the University of La Verne football team received recognition on the All-SCIAC teams for the 2008 season as announced by the league office.
Senior linebacker Jason Carpenter and senior offensive lineman Kenny Andrew were First Team All-SCIAC selections while sophomore Taylor Hart was a Second Team selection.
Carpenter, a Second Team All-Conference honoree last season, led La Verne in tackles with 78 during the 2008 campaign. The product from Woodinville, Washington posted 42 solo tackles along with 36 assisted stops on the season. Additionally, he tallied 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks on the year.
A senior from El Monte, Andrew anchored the Leopard offensive line in his first season with La Verne to garner First Team All-SCIAC honors.
Hart recorded 61 total tackles while grabbing two interceptions as a safety. The sophomore from Alta Loma also registered three tackles for losses and three pass breakups this season.
Hart also was named as a Second Team All-Conference selection on special teams.
