Renovations Continue On Athletic Facilities
Significant progress has been made to the ongoing renovations to Ortmayer Stadium throughout the spring and is moving along at a brisk pace in advance of the upcoming fall seasons. The project began in February and is on schedule for completion prior to the start of fall preseason practices.
The installation of the all-purpose, synthetic field turf began last week and will continue over the next few weeks. The Leopard football, men's soccer and women’s soccer programs will use the field for both practice and competition.
Installation of the new track is expected to begin in July. The total renovation of Ortmayer Stadium is projected to be completed by mid-August.
In addition, the floor of Frantz Athletic Court, home to Leopard volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball, has also received a facelift. The refurbished gymnasium floor was recently sanded and refinished and now sports a more updated look heading into the 2012-13 academic year.
