Ludvik, Moralez Named To D3Baseball.com All-West Region Team
Senior outfielder Jacob Ludvik and junior catcher Jason Moralez represented the University of La Verne on the D3Baseball.com All-Region Team.
Both Ludvik and Moralez, who were First Team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honorees this season, were Third Team All-West Region selections on the squad as announced by D3Baseball.com.
Ludvik, who was named to the All-Tournament Team at the NCAA McMinnville Regional, finished the regular season with a team-high .405 batting average. A First Team All-SCIAC selection, he led the conference in doubles with 17 and was among the league leaders in hits (66), runs scored (43), total bases, and runs batted in (36).
Moralez was an all-SCIAC First Team selection for the second straight year. He hit .329 during the regular season with 3 home runs and a team-high 44 RBI, recording 51 hits while scoring 28 runs as the Leopards' starting catcher.
La Verne concluded the year with a 26-16 overall record. The Leopards reached the NCAA Tournament by virtue of claiming the SCIAC Championship, their first in four seasons and 20th overall in program history.
