Directions from Ontario Airport
Various airlines fly into the Ontario International Airport. Courtesy airport shuttles, car rentals, charter buses, vans & limos, taxicabs, door-to-door van services and other means of public transportation are available for transportation to hotels near the University of La Verne. If you plan on driving to University of La Verne from ONT, the directions are as follows:
- Start by going Northeast on Moore Way toward Airport Dr. (.1 miles)
- Make a left onto Airport Dr. (.2 miles)
- Make a right onto Vineyard Ave. (.6 miles)
- Merge onto Interstate 10 West toward Los Angeles (7.8 miles)
- From I-10, take the Towne Ave. exit (.1 miles)
- Keep right at the fork to stay on Towne Ave. (.1 miles)
- On the first traffic light, make a left onto La Verne Ave. (1.2 miles)
- When reaching the final cross street on La Verne Ave., make a left onto Arrow Highway (.9 miles)
- Make a right onto D. St. (.1 miles)
- Make a left onto 3rd St. (.1 miles)
It will approximately take 11.68 miles/17 minutes with normal traffic to reach ULV.
Directions from Los Angeles Airport

If you plan on driving to University of La Verne from LAX, the directions are as follows:
- Start by going East on World Way/Center Way (.1 miles)
- Merge onto Sepulveda Blvd./CA-1 South toward Interstate 105 (.7 miles)
- Take the Imperial Highway West/Interstate 105 East ramp toward Imperial Terminal (.1 miles)
- Merge onto I-105 East toward Norwalk (16.9 miles)
- Merge onto Interstate 605 North (12.6 miles)
- Merge onto Interstate 10 East toward San Bernardino (12.6 miles)
- From I-10, take the Fairplex Dr. exit (.1 miles)
- At the traffic light, make a left onto Fairplex Dr. (1.1 miles)
- Once you reach a “T” intersection, make a left to stay on Fairplex Dr. (.3 miles)
- Once you reach a stop sign, make a right to stay on Fairplex Dr. (.8 miles)
- Make a left onto Arrow Highway (.1 miles)
- Make a right onto D St. (.1 miles)
- Make a left onto 3rd St. (.1 miles)
It will approximately take 46.2 miles/50 minutes with normal traffic to reach ULV.
Freeway Directions to Campus
From the Northwest: Foothill Fwy. (I-210) east. Stay left and follow “End Freeway: Foothill Blvd.” signs until the freeway empties onto Foothill Blvd. (Hwy 66). Continue east on Foothill Blvd. to Wheeler Ave. Turn right (south) onto Wheeler Ave. Turn left onto Bonita Ave. Turn right onto B St. Turn left (east) onto 3rd St.
From the East or West: San Bernardino Fwy. (I-10) to Fairplex Dr. exit (from the east, look for Fairplex/Dudley exit). Go north (right from the east, left from the west) on Fairplex to the L.A. County Fairgrounds. Turn left (west) and follow Fairplex Dr. along the perimeter of the fairgrounds, continuing north to 3rd St. Turn left (west) to the campus. Alternate Routes from I-10: Garey Ave., Towne Ave., or White Ave. North to Arrow Highway or Bonita Ave., then west to the campus.
From the South: Orange Fwy. (57) North to San Bernardino Fwy. (I-10). East on I-10 to first exit (Fairplex Dr.) and follow same directions as for “east or west.” Alternate route: 57 to I-210 to Covina Blvd. exit or Arrow Highway exit. Then east (right) on Bonita Ave. or Arrow Highway to the campus.
Directions to ULV Athletic Facilities from Campus
Wheeler Park (Softball)
From the Athletic Parking lot start out going left on 1st St. and continue to Wheeler Ave. Wheeler Park is located on the corner of 1st and Wheeler, approximately .5 miles from the campus.
La Verne Aquatic Center (Water Polo/Swimming & Diving)
From the Athletic Parking lot start going out left on 1st St. to D St. Make a left on D St. going North until reaching 8th St. Make a right onto 8th St. and follow around the perimeter of the elementary school. Make a left on Boling St., following Boling St. until you see the Aquatic Center on the left, approximately 1.5 miles from the campus.
Puddingstone/Bonelli Park (Cross Country)
From the Athletic Parking lot make a right on 1st St. toward Wheeler Ave. Make a left onto Wheeler Ave. to Arrow Highway. Make a right onto Arrow Highway to I-210 Fwy. Merge onto I-210 East. Take the Via Verde exit to Ranging Waters Drive. Make a left onto Via Verde. Approximately 4.5 miles from the campus.
Sierra La Verne Golf Course
From the Athletic Parking lot turn right onto 1st St. to Wheeler Ave. Make a right onto Wheeler Ave. to Birdie Ave., about 2.5 miles. Make a right onto Birdie Ave. to Country Club Dr. Make a left onto Country Club Dr. Approximately 3.4 miles from the campus.
Location & Parking
The University of La Verne is located in the city of La Verne, next to Old Towne.
Ortmayer Stadium: Located on the main campus, Ortmayer Stadium seats approximately 2,000 fans for football and track & field. Teams should enter the South Gate of the football field from the locker rooms. Team buses and admistrative personnel will have reserved parking on 1st Street. Fans enter through the north gate on the visitor’s side and park in the Mainiero Parking lot, directly north of Ortmayer Stadium. Nearest restrooms located inside the Sports Science & Athletics Pavilion on the first and second levels.
Ben Hines Field: Located on the main campus between 1st St. and 2nd St. Ben Hines field is home for the baseball team and both men and women’s soccer squads. Seating is available for about 500 spectators in aluminum bleacher style seats. Ample parking in the 2nd St. parking lot and the Athletic Parking lot, located on 1st St. Nearest restrooms located inside the Sports Science & Athletics Pavilion on the first and second levels.
Franz Athletic Court: Located on the main campus inside the Sports Science & Athletics Pavilion on the second floor, Franz Athletic Court is home for the women’s volleyball team and both the men and women’s basketball squads. Seating is available for about 1,200 fans. Locker rooms located in the first level of the premise. Ample parking in the 2nd St. parking lot and the Athletic Parking lot, located on 1st St. Fans enter through glass doors, four of them, located in corners of the building then head up the stairs to the second level.
Wheeler Park: Located near campus, about .5 miles away. Wheeler Park serves as the softball facility.
La Verne Aquatic Center: Located near campus, approximately 1.5 miles away, the Aquatic Center is a new “State of the Art” facility that houses both men and women’s swimming & diving teams, along with the men and women’s water polo squads. Locker rooms and restrooms are located on the premise. Free parking is available on the Aquatic Center Parking lot and on Boling St.
Bonelli Park: Located near the main campus, Bonelli Park serves as the ULV home cross country course. The park has ample parking and picnic areas. There is a parking fee of $6.00. Enter the park from Via Verde off Interstate 210 or off Fairplex Blvd.
Sierra La Verne Golf Course: Located at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, beautiful Sierra La Verne is home to the University of La Verne’s men’s golf team. The course is approximately 3.5 miles north of the main campus.
Directions to SCIAC Opponents
Cal Lutheran University:
- Start by going West on 3rd St. toward Wheeler Ave.
- Make a right onto Wheeler Ave.
- Make a left on Foothill Blvd.
- Merge onto Interstate 210 West toward Pasadena (20 miles)
- Merge onto Interstate 134 West (13.6 miles)
- Stay straight to go onto US 101 North (31.6 miles)
- Take the Lynn Rd. exit (.2 miles)
- Make a right onto Lynn Rd. (2.8 miles)
- Lynn Rd. becomes Olsen Rd.
It will approximately take 73 miles/1 hour and 15 minutes with normal traffic to reach CLU.
California Institute of Technology (Caltech):
- Start by going West on 3rd St. toward Wheeler Ave.
- Make a right onto Wheeler Ave.
- Make a left on Foothill Blvd.
- Merge onto Interstate 210 West toward Pasadena (18 miles)
- Take the Hill Ave. exit (.2 miles)
- Turn slight left onto Maple St. (.1 miles)
- Make a left onto Hill Ave. (1.1 miles)
- Make a right onto California Blvd. (.2 miles)
It will approximately take 24 miles/29 minutes with normal traffic to reach Caltech.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges:
- Start by going East on 3rd St. (.1 miles)
- Make a left onto D St. (.9 miles)
- Make a left onto Foothill Blvd. (3.6 miles)
- Make a right onto Claremont Blvd. (.5 miles)
- Make a right onto 6th St. (.2 miles)
- Make a right onto Mills Ave.
It will approximately take 5.5 miles/11 minutes with normal traffic to reach CMS.
Occidental College:
- Start by going West on 3rd St. toward Wheeler Ave.
- Make a right onto Wheeler Ave.
- Make a left on Foothill Blvd.
- Merge onto Interstate 210 West toward Pasadena (18 miles)

- Take the Colorado Blvd./Figueroa St. exit (.1 miles)
- Merge onto Colorado Blvd. toward Eagle Rock (1.9 miles)
